国　名：危地马拉共和国
Official Name: The Republic of Guatemala
国　旗：国旗的颜色来自原中美洲联邦国旗。蓝色分别象征太平洋和加勒比海，白色象征对和平的追求。中央绘有国徽。
National Flag: The National flag (proportions 8 by 5) has three equal vertical stripes, of blue, white and blue, with the national coat of arms (depicting a quetzal, the 'bird of freedom', and a scroll, superimposed on crossed rifles and sabres, encrircled by a wreath) in the centre of the white stripe.
国　徽：蓝色的圆面和白色的轴卷与国旗颜色相同。轴卷上用西文写着：“1821年9月15日，自由”字样，纪念危摆脱西班牙殖民统治。轴卷上的“格查尔”鸟是危的国鸟，不能笼养，故称“自由之鸟”，被视为自由、爱国、友谊的象征。步枪和长剑是人民时刻准备捍卫祖国自由的象征。两侧是月桂树枝。
地理位置：地处中美洲，西部和北部与墨西哥接壤，东部濒临加勒比海并同伯利兹和洪都拉斯交界，东南部与萨尔瓦多毗连，西南部面对太平洋。以亚热带森林气候为主，平均气温16－20℃。5－10月为雨季，余为旱季。
